LINE CLEARANCE UNIT MEETINGS are held on the second Monday of every month at 5 P.M. at the Union Hall, 7444 Trade Street, San Diego, CA 92121.  Any changes to this schedule or special meetings will be posted to the membership.

GRIEVANCES:  The Union recently won an arbitration hearing and put a long-term employee back to work.  The Union pursued the case through all steps of the grirevance procedure to the final step of arbitration.  The arbitrator ruled that the Company's action of termination was excessive.  We are also working on resolving other grievances dealing with disciplinary matters.

WAGE RE-OPENER:  The Union recently negotiated a wage re-opener for Davey employees for the final year of the contract in the amount of 3.5% plus a safety incentive of .5%.  Vegetation Control will also have an increased safety incentive of 4% during the months of July through August.

Provco employees in pole brushing recently moved to Asplundh's pole brushing division after Asplundh took over the substantial assets of Provco.  We have kept the old contract here for reference.
