On December the 17th, our committee met with District
representatives to review their proposal to finalize plans for their impending
R.I.F./Layoffs. The District’s proposal is included
on this site. While the package is not
everything we had hoped for, it does represent some movement on their part
including delaying the action until
March 31st, 2010. We will continue
to meet and monitor their actions and work on individual issues involving;
relocation, proper seniority, and job placement. Our
hope is to minimize the effects on the affected employees and make sure the
District does this according to Policy and Procedure 4110. As further information is available this site
will be updated.
